Kevin G. Richards was raised in Ogden and is a product of the Ogden City Schools.  Mr. Richards has over 25 years of legal experience in the areas of chapters 7 and 13 consumer bankruptcy; divorce and family law; criminal defense and immigration; real estate and construction litigation; and commercial litigation and transactions.  He also does alternative dispute resolution and mediation.  He is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish.  Mr. Richards in the past couple of years has taken up marathon running having completed several including the Boston Marathon in April of 2012.

Adam’s main areas of practice involve criminal law, family law and personal injury, as well as business and transactional law, estate planning and bankruptcy. Adam’s experience working as a prosecutor for the Ogden City Prosecutors Office gives him a unique understanding of the Utah’s criminal justice system which has greatly benefited him and the clients he represents.

Adam grew up in Ogden, and graduated from  Weber State University. While attending Weber State, Adam was involved in real estate transactions and real estate investment. After working in real estate he moved to inside/outside sales for a company with a worldwide presence. Adam graduated from Washburn University School of Law. While at Washburn University School of Law, Adam focused on business and transactional law, family law, estate planning, criminal law, and alternative dispute resolution.  He also work in the Washburn School of Law Civil Litigation Clinic helping low income clients resolve real estate disputes and other various matters and the Washburn School of Law Criminal Clinic helping low income persons resolve both misdemeanors and felonies.

Jaime is the firm’s bankruptcy expert. He excels in helping people through tough and stressful situations using bankruptcy. His other practices areas include divorce, paternity and custody, as well as general civil litigation, will and estate work and contract disputes and drafting. Jaime became a lawyer because he likes working with people and problem solving. Most clients who meet with him immediately like his demeanor and attitude which helps them feel comfortable during some of the most situations of their lives.

Before venturing to law school and becoming a lawyer, Jaime had a previous career in real estate development and finance. His father is a founding member of Richards & Godfrey, PC., growing up around the practice of law, coupled with his diverse prior business experience, puts Jaime in a unique position to understand how the law and the real world work.

Jaime grew up in Ogden, attended Ogden High School and graduated from Weber State University before attending Washburn University School of Law in Topeka, Kansas. Jaime’s greatest pride and joy are his family, which now includes five children. Jaime is an avid golfer and CrossFitter, he loves spending time outside playing with his family.
